Free project requirement

Every creator must publish at least one complete project at no charge to learners and receive platform approval before publishing paid projects. At least one approved free project must remain available while paid projects are offered. Creators may replace it after another free project is approved and available. Free projects must meet the same quality standards as paid projects; empty teasers do not qualify. Drafting a paid project remains available before this requirement is met.

Uploading a Word template or confirming your own review does not constitute platform approval. All imported content must be verified by its creator before submission. This requirement does not grant any additional copyright rights beyond the completed agreement.

1. How earnings are calculated

Prepmeets is a product operated by Wandaprep Academy, a UK-registered company. Prepmeets charges a 30% commission on the actual amount paid after discounts and excluding applicable VAT or sales tax. Your creator share is 70% of that amount.

Amount paid − applicable sales tax = net sale
Net sale × 70% = creator earnings

Standard payment-processing and scheduled payout fees are covered by Prepmeets from its 30% commission. They are not deducted again from your 70% share. Your earnings are not calculated from the undiscounted list price.

2. Worked example: a £15 project

This example assumes a £15 final purchase price including 20% VAT, no discount and no refund. Actual tax treatment depends on the transaction; 20% does not apply to every sale.

What happens to Prepmeets’ £3.75?

Payment processing, scheduled payout costs, payment-account costs, tax-service costs and platform operating expenses are paid from our commission. The £3.75 is platform revenue before expenses, not profit.

For illustration, Stripe’s published standard UK-card rate of 1.5% + 20p produces a fee of approximately £0.43 on £15. This leaves approximately £3.32 of the platform share before payout, account, tax-service and other operating costs. Your share remains £8.75. Provider fees vary by card, country and integration; this illustration is not a guaranteed fee quote.

Payout fees apply to the combined payout, not necessarily each individual sale. We therefore do not show an invented fixed transfer fee against every project purchase.

3. Discounts, taxes and adjustments

  • Discounted sale: if a £15 project sells for £12 including 20% VAT, the net sale is £10, Prepmeets receives £3 and you earn £7.
  • No sales tax: where no VAT or sales tax applies to a £15 sale, the split is £4.50 to Prepmeets and £10.50 to you.
  • Refund illustration: reversing the full £15 example reverses the £8.75 creator earnings and £3.75 platform commission, with the corresponding tax adjustment. Partial refunds require a proportional recalculation. The applicable refund and dispute policy must define eligibility and recovery procedures.
  • Personal taxes: your 70% share is before any personal or business income taxes you owe. Those taxes are not covered by the platform commission.
  • Currency: sales and withdrawals are in pounds sterling. Any conversion Stripe or your bank applies to pay out in your local currency is theirs, and any non-standard deductions must be explicitly disclosed and agreed before they are applied.

4. Withdrawals

Earnings are paid to your own Stripe account, which you connect from Payment details. Each sale waits in a pending balance for a clearing period, then moves to available. You can withdraw any available amount at any time, subject to the minimum withdrawal. Stripe then sends it to your bank; arrival times vary and are set by Stripe and your bank.

The minimum withdrawal and the clearing period are set by Prepmeets and shown on your earnings page before you withdraw. A change to the clearing period applies to sales made after the change. Balances below the minimum carry forward without a fee.

Cleared funds, completed Stripe verification and any applicable restrictions determine whether a withdrawal can be made.

5. Creator eligibility and acceptance

Creator onboarding covers the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, EU/EEA countries and Switzerland, subject to verified residence or business establishment, supported banking and payment-provider approval. Eligibility is not based on nationality or on possessing foreign receiving-account details.
